I have always been obsessed with light, light that shapes three-dimensional objects into a two-dimensional rendering. The term photograph comes from the Greek words photos = light and graphé = lines or drawing.

In the truest sense of the word, a photograph is a light-drawing, a painting with the medium of light, captured on a light-sensitive surface.

I have always been drawn to abstraction and the thought of dealing with ideas, rather than subjects or events. I needed a very special set of tools to satisfy my strong desire to “paint” with light.
